Donald Trump has already won … as a father of our spiritual awakening

Donald Trump may or may not win the US presidency but he has already won an acknowledgement of great many in the US as a father of the truly Judeo-Christian spiritual awakening.

The great many in the US, as well as many BREXIT-minded people of Europe, have found in Donald Trump a spiritual leader who has clearly expressed their depressing feelings that the great Judeo-Christian Western civilization is losing its greatness. Donald Trump has demonstrated it convincingly by analyzing the changes in political and social realms of the US that have brought the US on the road of moral and economic degradation, and he suggested political and social restructuring that may return the country on the path of continuing greatness.

The spiritual awakening on the human moral wellbeing

From the very beginning, the US was a country of Judeo-Christian moral principles. The Torah/Bible Ten Commandments was the guiding principles for the government legislative work. Those principles led to

  • A small government with limited power – since a human government cannot become an all-mighty god-like entity (The First Commandment says, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me”)
  • An individual responsibility of government leaders for their decisions affecting the nation (The Third Commandment says, “Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain”)
  • An all-mighty family with the power to decide how to live, help the others and educate the children (The Fifth Commandment says, Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee)
  • A minimal government taxation mainly for providing safety and security for the public and not for government enrichment and empowerment (The Eighth Commandment says, Thou shalt not steal”)
  • No government-imposed wealth redistribution from the truly fortunate to the less fortunate (The Tenth Commandment says, Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s).

Both religionists and atheists supported the Judeo-Christian morality – they had different opinions not on the morality but rather on the source of this morality.

Both religionists and atheists supported the Church-State separation to preserve spiritual competitiveness among various religious denominations.

However, in the last century all these moral Ten-Commandment-based Judeo-Christian moral principles – step-by-step – were abandoned and replaced by the extremely nice sounding “human rights and social justice” principles that brought

  • The big government which restrict severely the individual freedoms and play a role of an all-mighty god – with the two political parties, Democratic and Republican, working together to enrich and empower themselves to the detriment of the people
  • The lack of individual responsibility of government leaders since they are judged not by the results of their decisions affecting the nation but rather by politically-correct slogans of their political parties
  • The government-imposed regulations on the family that are ruining the traditional family
  • The tremendous taxation burden that makes the big government an economic monopoly suppressing private businesses
  • The government-imposed redistribution of wealth that is destroying the incentives for creating the individual wealth.

Although the majority of the nation has not liked the loss of traditional Judeo-Christian morality, the majority was silent since the big government was able to a sort of dope the population by the freebies and politically correct slogans – with the help of the big news media, which in essence has become a part of the big government.

Donald Trump has spelled out all that clearly and convincingly. Moreover, he described the ways to stop the degradation and restore the greatness of the country as was in the glorious past. That was a truly spiritual awakening for the people on the human moral wellbeing.

The spiritual awakening on the human economic wellbeing

From the very beginning, the US was a country with the best economy in the world. The best economy led to the best material well-being for American citizens. Budget deficit, national debt, stagnant economic growth, government welfare system were unknown. Why? Because the country had a free-market economy which was encouraging everybody to get involved in economically productive work to make his/her family richer, to be personally responsible for the result of his/her actions, to do charitable work and not to covet something that was in possession of your neighbor. The politicians were not enriching themselves by working in the government – they were making a decent living like everybody else.

In the last century all these Ten-Commandment-based Judeo-Christian free-market economic principles – step-by-step – were abandoned and replaced by the government controlled economy – controlled through myriads of regulations, taxes, tariffs, litigations, globalization rules, politically-correct opinions, etc.

The first time in the American history, the children are less well off than their parents, a great number of people are not working and survival of a great many depends on government freebies.

The majority of the nation has not liked it. However, this majority was silent since the big government was able to convince the majority that is the best they can have – and the big government has done it with the help of the big news media, which in essence has become a part of the big government.

Donald Trump has help the people understand we can do economically much better if we reduce government control of the economy to restore the true free-market economy. That was a spiritual awakening for the people on the human economic wellbeing.

Donald Trump has help the people realize that the replacement of one political party by the other in the course of democratic elections would not restore our moral and economic wellbeing – both political parties, Democratic and Republican, have become a part of the big government suppressing the people. Donald Trump has help the people realize the unusual nature of the current presidential election – that is a historic opportunity to replace the power of the big government by the power of the people and restore the greatness of the country and wellbeing of the people.

Indeed, Donald Trump has already won … as a father of our spiritual awakening.

The Jews who boycott Trump at AIPAC conference betray Judaism

From the news media:

300 American rabbis, Jewish figures vow to boycott Trump’s AIPAC speech.

A group of American rabbis is planning to boycott an upcoming speech at the AIPAC conference by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

About 300 rabbis and other Jewish public figures, led by Rabbi David Paskin, have created a Facebook group named “Come Together Against Hate,” in which they called for a mass walkout during Trump’s speech.

Rabbi Erik Yoffie, a past leader of American Reform Judaism:

We have been urging rabbis to simply not attend the Trump speech and let our absence be felt and noted.

I am not surprised by the action of David Paskin. He advertises himself as a Rock N’Roll rabbi, and in this capacity his duty is to entertain and he intends to use the AIPAC conference for his own entertaining.

And I am not surprised by the action of Erik Yoffie as well – he has always followed the policy guidance of Democratic Party that has begun to realize that Donald Trump has a good chance to become an American President since he is supported by the non-racist and democratic “white” majority of the country.

The 300 number of boycotting rabbis and Jewish figures is relatively small as compared to the about 15, 000 of AIPAC Conference attendees. Nevertheless, I am surprised by their desire to join the boycott because this boycott is a sort of violation of Jewish Torah-based morality.

This point of view has nothing to do with personality of Donald Trump.

The Golder Rule of Judaism is clear – “That which is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow. That is the whole Torah; the rest is the explanation; go and learn it.”

We the Jews are always demanding from the others to give us the opportunity to present our point of view on everything including on the desirable Israeli-American relations. And suddenly, we want to deny Donald Trump a Golden Rule right to present his views on the desirable relations between USA and Israel.

We the Jews are demanding the end to the boycott of Israel by those who do not like Israel – because it is unethical and contrary to the Golden Rule. And suddenly, we call for an anti-Golden-Rule boycott of somebody even without presenting this somebody the opportunity to speak out.

That is one more illustration to the “tragic state of American Jewry” which was perfectly described by Caroline Glick in her paper “The Tragic State of American Jewry” and was detailed in my post “What to do with the Tragic State of American Jewry”.

Why we have to elect somebody like Donald Trump

One of my friends (A) have expressed in a discussion with me his dislike of Donald Trump. I (B) responded by making the point that we may dislike Trump but, to save our country as we know it, we have to elect in 2016 him or somebody like him to be our President. Here are some points of this discussion.

(A): Are you taking Trump seriously among other Republican contenders?

(B): Yes, I am taking him seriously but with a deep anxiety. If any other Republican contender becomes a president, many things will be much better as compared to what we have now and what we may expect from Hilary Clinton who would essentially continue the Obama policies. However, it would be not enough to reverse the country’s decline – the decline will continue although at a slower pace.  With Trump, there is a chance to reverse the trend and restore the nation’s greatness, although the risk is great.

(A): Well, if he is nominated, Hillary will have a much better chance to become president. The other problem is Trump is just as inexperienced as Obama was in 2008 and just as narcissistic. Bad combination, in my opinion.

(B): You are right but that is the risk worthwhile to take. All “experienced politicians” who pretend to be “ordinary citizens” have put the country on the way to spiritual and economic decline – that is what we have to remember while choosing whom to vote for.

(A): Trump is surging because “the elites” of both parties have failed miserably in the last 15 years or more, and Obama turned out to be simply anti-American (as most Americans understand it).  However, from what I have heard from Trump, I think he has not ideas but good-sounding slogans that are either very difficult or impossible to implement in real life. So if he is elected, I am afraid what will follow is not some renewal of America, but just more chaos. Put another way, I have learned not to trust in a “knight on a white horse”. More likely, though, I think his nomination would rather pave the way for the Clintons and Democrats to remain in power, and that would not be fun.

(B): My assessment of the situation is different. “The elites” as you called them are experienced only in inventing new goodies for the potential electorate to be elected and then do the wealth redistribution from us to them. The Republican “elites” sound much better to our ears but the result is the same and the result is very destructive. I do not believe that the victory of the establishment “experienced” Republicans would create the change we desperately need. In addition to the Republican victory, we need something else. We need somebody to create first a sort of anti-establishment revolution and then somebody else who may create something fresh and new. Trump is a possible candidate for this job – of course, with all risks involved. His business experience for American restoration might be more valuable than the experience of all “experienced politicians” running for the president. Why? Since we do not need more new government programs that all “experienced politicians” are creating – we need good management including a sharp reduction of the ineffective 2/3 of the government, and nothing else. And Trump has the best experience among all of the contenders to do this – to do just “good management”.

(A): The late principled conservative William Buckley once said that a voter must vote for the most conservative candidate who can still be elected. Ronald Reagan was an experienced politician before he became president. In the post WWII USA, there was no president who came to the office without professional political/government background.

(B): We have had conservative Presidents and Congress elected as Conservatives such as Reagan, Bush H., Bush W. However, the march to abyss has not stopped – the taxation is growing under various concealments, the nation’s debt is mounting, the government “free stuff” is rising, the government regulations of individual citizens are increasing, the individual freedoms are shrinking under the pretense of democracy.

Thus, just a conservative government, even following the advice of the great William Buckley, is not enough to stop the march to abyss – we have to change the political thinking, a sort of way of spiritual thinking in this country, in addition to a conservative government, if we are to begin the restoration.

The existing ruling news media and the both-parties establishment have created the current political politically-correct thinking. Therefore, first, we have to dethrone the news media and the establishment, and Donald Trump is the only candidate who is doing it successfully – nobody else. However, all your risk-related points with the Trump’s candidacy are valid.

In conclusion, an almost quote from a popular news media outlet:

Trump is popular and it is undeniable. It is because people are afraid, and Trump is pushing the fear. The Trump is telling the people they should be afraid of Muslims, of Mexican immigrants, of China’s business practices, of President Obama, of Black Lives Matter, of stricter gun laws, of ISIS … However, all those threats are the Trump’s conspiracy to scare the electorate and win the election. Do not trust Trump – trust us the news media and the political establishment we are representing.

The problem is the threats Donald Trump is describing are real and supported by the facts, and the people feel all that. This popular news media, as many others, is deceiving the people by denying the existence of those threats, and it is doing all that to continue profiting from a politically correct march to the abyss.
